Start your journey from the hotel or airport and enjoy a scenic drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Stop at the Equator line to take some photos and learn about its unique geographical significance. You can also visit the souvenir shops and see a brief demonstration of the Coriolis effect.

After that, continue your journey to Ol Pejeta Conservancy and check in at the gate. You’ll receive a brief introduction to the conservancy and its conservation efforts before heading out on a guided game drive. Look out for wildlife like elephants, lions, and rhinos as your guide shares interesting insights.

You’ll also have the chance to explore the boma where the last remaining northern white rhinos are cared for and learn about the conservation initiatives in place to protect endangered species.

Finally, start your drive back to your hotel, stopping for lunch at a restaurant along the way. This concludes your day trip, and you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or airport.

  1. Day 1 Nairobi → Ol Pejeta Conservancy | Afternoon Game Drive

    • 7:00 AM – Pick up from your Nairobi hotel or airport and depart via the Thika Superhighway.
    o Enjoy scenic views of tea and pineapple plantations and Mt. Kenya on clear days.
    o Optional stop in Nanyuki town to cross the Equator and take photos.
    • 12:00 PM – Arrive at your lodge/camp in Ol Pejeta. Check in & lunch.
    • 3:30–6:30 PM – Afternoon game drive in the conservancy.
    o Look out for elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and gazelles.
    o Visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where you can see rescued chimps.

  2. Day 2 Full Day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy

    • Early breakfast.
    • Morning Game Drive:
    • Visit the Endangered Species Enclosure to see the world’s last two northern white rhinos.
    • You may also see black and white rhinos, lions, hyenas, jackals, and more.
    • Return to the lodge/camp for lunch.
    • Or carry a packed lunch and spend the day exploring the conservancy at leisure.
    • Optional activities in the afternoon:
    • Guided bush walk (extra cost).
    • Visit Morani Information Center to learn about rhino conservation.
    • Optional night game drive (extra fee) to spot nocturnal animals like aardvark, serval, or lion hunting.
    • Dinner & overnight at your lodge/camp.

  3. Day 3 Morning Game Drive → Nairobi

    • Optional sunrise game drive before breakfast — great time for predators.
    • Return to camp for breakfast.
    • Check out and drive back to Nairobi.
    • Optional lunch stop in Nanyuki or at Trout Tree restaurant near Mt. Kenya.
    • Arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon (~3:00–4:00 PM).
